On the second viewing, of course, you should just enjoy the movie for what it is the first time.

Man. Birthdays in New York City are pretty freaking awesome. Thanks to everyone who sent me a card, I have a small army and we are still going through all of the stuff sent by fans. Special thanks to S. Dias in District Five, I never actually got around to getting the action figure of myself from the Halo movie. Halo!Me is about to fight Voltron!Me. I wonder who will win.

Man, I am excited for the Emmy's. My mom bets on them every year, and I used to until I became friends with people who they affected. Didn't seem right to bet on one friend and not the other, you know? I have been told it's been a good year for television. I don't get to watch much, but I'm excited.

Julius is sitting on a rooftop, a vast blue, sunny, cloudless sky above him and what looks like a miniature jungle behind him. He is in fact sitting in front of a rooftop garden, and of the many in bloom plants behind him is a rather scary looking prickly thing, which is actually a raspberry bush, full of black and dark red berries in the process of ripening. Julius is wearing a sleeveless undershirt and a do-rag so it doesn’t look like he is sweating too much from the heat. The fact that he is outside at all suggests he has no control over these things. Julius smiles and waves.
“Hello again. I am Julius St.John coming to you from the lovely rooftop garden of my apartment building. I hope all of you urban gardeners are keeping good care of your plants in this heat. And yourselves, of course, make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen.”
An older woman walks into the shot a distance behind him. She is wearing a large sun hat and gardening gloves and proceeds to pull the black raspberries off the bush, making sure to mind the thorns. She does not even seem to notice Julius St.John is sitting in front of a camera several feet away, so one wonders how much she is getting paid to pick those berries.
“And I have some amazing Batman news. We are finally going to start primary taping on Monday! We do have a soundstage where some filming will be done, which is mostly the set of the Batcave. That thing, I have to say, is amazing. It’s like…” Julius looks off to the side for a moment as he thinks. “Half-Carlsbad Caverns and half-Frank Lloyd Wright. I’m not even kidding. Amazing. But! A majority of the rest of the filming will be on the streets of New York City. In fact, on Monday we will begin filming in District 0. Mostly as Bruce Wayne for now. They don’t want to start filming as Batman until they release a few pictures of me in the suit, which should be sometime next week. So if you see a bunch of cameras hanging around in District 0, try to see if you can catch me looking snazzy in my fancy business suit. Catch ya later.”
Julius smiles and waves again, and the camera turns off.

I'm really looking forward to the Fourth of July in New York City. It's pretty sweet in New Orleans, and I hear Buffalo rocks it pretty hard too, but this is New York City. I mean, I figure there are two cities that have really been global symbols of the US, New York City, and Washington DC. New York has a better reputation. And the Statue of Liberty. I figure, that lady knows how to celebrate the Fourth.
In Batman news, I got to try out the costume today. It's amazing. I was intimidating myself. And I can move in it, which is going to come in all kinds of handy when they ask me to jump over a car or something.

A day late for Father's Day, but the sentiment remains. I never met my father. It happens. I don't mind that much. I was raised in New Orleans by my mother and her family, including her brother, my Uncle Al. He was the one who taught me to ride a bike, how to talk to girls, how to fight, and how to be responsible for my actions when all I wanted to do was run away. So, for Father's Day, a hearty salute to Uncle Al.

Julius is walking briskly down a street. The camera (and presumed cameraperson) is attempting to keep up beside him. He has a grin on his face, because this feels sort of silly to him. People across the street watch him a bit, but he doesn’t seem to run into anyone.
“Hello again, everyone! I am Julius St.John, and I actually have two announcements to make this time.” Because he is walking he sounds full of energy. “One,” he holds up one finger “Batman casting announcements. This is cool they are actually letting me announce things first. So, three people added to the cast. One lovely Dakota Fanning. Her and her eyes will be in a major role. That’s not intimidating at all.”
He comes to a stop at an intersection. Across the street is a small cemetery with small camping tents set up in it. Julius turns from looking up and down the street back to the camera. “Also, one kick ass Jaden Smith, also in a major role and also intimidating. I am fairly certain he could beat me up with like, this.” He holds up his pinky finger and wiggles it in front of the camera. He puts his hand down and the camera follows him across the street. He doesn’t look back at the camera until they are safely on the other side of the street.
“Last bit of casting news. Aaron Staton, in a semi-minor role. Though I highly suspect his mustache will steal the show.” He subconsciously scratches his own, slightly bearded chin before walking around in front of the camera. The sidewalk stretches out behind him and there are indeed other people walking on it. Julius clasps his hands in front of him and smiles at the camera. “Okay, second announcement, non-Batman related, sorry. But because principal shooting doesn’t take place for about two weeks, leaving me with time on my hands, I got asked to host SNL. No, I’m not sure why, but apparently they think I can be funny. So that is what I’ll be up to next week. Ya’ll should watch. Maybe I’ll actually do something to make you laugh!”
As soon as he finishes, enough water to fill a bucket splashes down on him from off screen. Julius, soaked, looks up. “What the hell man, really?” The camera turns off.

Does anyone know of a good gym in the city? The Studio gave me the names of a few, but... they all have tvs bigger than I am, and that's not the kind of environment I need.

The camera turns on to find Julius sitting calmly in a chair on a small balcony, behind him can be seen a New York City landscape. He is wearing just jeans and a cotton shirt. After just a moment Julius smiles and waves to the camera.
“Hello everyone. I am Julius St.John coming to you from beautiful District Four in New York City.” He motions to the cityscape behind him, though there isn’t anything there that particularly screams New York City. “It’s my first time being here actually, and it seems pretty cool. Very historic. New Orleans is very historic too, but it’s mostly… food and music and water. We have very historic water in New Orleans.” He pronounces the name this time as he did growing up and laughs. “But! I have come to New York City to start filming my next movie. I’m going to be playing Bruce Wayne, the Batman, as a lot of you probably know. We are going to be filming the entire movie here in New York City! So we’ll be here for the next few months all over the city. You’re free to come and watch if you catch us filming, we just ask that you be respectful and let us do our work?”
A thought occurs to him and he grins to himself for a moment, though he doesn’t share what the thought is. “I’ll be posting some of these vlogs every now and then to keep everyone updated on casting and how things are going. Just aggravating little tidbits because I’ve been sworn to secrecy on a lot of things. But I can… oh right! I can give you one hint about a villain Batman will be facing.”
Julius’ face goes serious, and he places one finger over his lips as if silencing the camera. He then removes his hand, smiles, and the camera turns off.
